Leadership wanted more than scattered plants in a luxury apartment community. They envisioned unified biophilic design across all resident amenity spaces that would enhance resident experience, differentiate the property in a competitive market, and signal intentional care and quality throughout the building. The vision was strategic. The execution required technical expertise and custom solutions.
Disconnected amenity spaces lacked visual cohesion and biophilic warmth, creating an incomplete luxury resident experience.
The property had five resident amenity spaces with vastly different conditions: lobby, coworking area, game lounge, elevator corridors, and dog park. Each space felt independent and inconsistent. Some areas had adequate natural light for live plants; others had minimal light, making traditional plant installation impractical. Previous décor attempts were piecemeal and disconnected. The property team needed a unified solution that would enhance resident satisfaction and support leasing efforts.
Interior Plantscapes was selected for its integrated approach: combining custom biophilic design with fabrication capability and full-service maintenance. Leadership needed a partner who understood both how spaces should look and how to adapt solutions to vastly different environmental conditions.
The team conducted a comprehensive light-level assessment, then designed custom solutions for each space: live tropical plants where light supported them, custom-fabricated replica foliage walls where light was limited, and waterproof built-in planters throughout. A grid plant wall system was designed for the coworking space to support focus and productivity. Preserved moss signage was integrated to reinforce brand identity. Installation was phased to minimize disruption to resident amenities.
The amenity space transformation proved that cohesive biophilic design is a strategic residential asset, not a cosmetic addition. Unified greenery and intentional design throughout the property enhanced resident satisfaction and differentiated the community in a competitive luxury market. Amenity spaces became settings for tours and resident engagement. The property recognized the direct connection between thoughtful design and resident experience.
“Interior Plantscapes designed exactly what we envisioned: unified, professional, and enduring.”
