PhRMA needed a sophisticated plant program for their Maine Avenue headquarters spanning floors 8 through 10. The challenge was creating cohesive biophilic design across executive suites, conference areas, and unique architectural features including under-staircase built-in planters and built-in banquette seating.

Interior Plantscapes designed and installed 102 plants coordinated across three floors. The 8th floor features a complex under-staircase built-in planter divided into three sections with layered tropical installation using Strelitzia White Bird, Rhapis Palm, King Sago Palm, and Philodendron specimens, with Dracaena, Maranta, ferns, and trailing Pothos creating depth. Built-in banquette planters feature ZZ plants, Strelitzia, Pothos Neon, and Homalomena Emerald Gem.

The 9th floor features a custom preserved moss wall directly across from the stairway totaling 84 square feet of Gold Package preserved moss with coordinated custom framing. Executive office installations include Ficus Lyrata specimens in designer concrete planters for the lobby and boardroom hallway. The CEO office features Strelitzia White Bird in a custom goblet concrete planter, while CFO and COO offices include coffee table arrangements with Calathea, ferns, and Pothos varieties. The 10th floor features a Ficus Amstel King with succulent and moss garden underplanting.
