Capital Meridian Partners needed a sophisticated biophilic design for their K Street office that would create a professional atmosphere across executive suites, conference rooms, and individual offices. The challenge was coordinating 444 plants spanning 15+ distinct spaces while creating a signature feature that would establish the office’s design aesthetic.
Interior Plantscapes designed and installed a custom living wall on the reception marble wall measuring 8.83 feet wide by 6.42 feet high, totaling 57 square feet of vertical greenery. We engineered the system with plywood backing, integrated growlight track for optimal plant health, and black wood trim that complements the marble backdrop. The wall features over 440 plants in 4-inch sizes including Dracaena Janet Craig Compacta, Pothos Neon and Jade, Maranta Red, and assorted foliage varieties.
Executive offices received custom plantings selected for each office’s conditions and aesthetic. Andrea’s office features Ficus Daniella, Anthurium Ruffle, and Ficus Lyrata in coordinated planters. Adam’s office showcases Dracaena Cintho, Ficus Lyrata, and Chinese Fan Palm. Mike Gozycki, Michael Puopolo, and Patrick Manning’s offices feature Strelitzia White Bird and Sansevieria Black Coral in Dolum and column striped fiberglass planters.
The Wesley Conference Room features two coordinated groupings with paired Sansevieria Laurentii and Strelitzia White Bird in geometric planters. Individual windowed offices received Ficus Lyrata, Strelitzia White Bird, Ficus Benjamina, Norfolk Island Pine, and Dracaena varieties. Internal offices feature Sansevieria Zeylanica for lower light tolerance. Rotational orchid programs in the reception desk and lounge ensure fresh blooms throughout the year.
